One of my first life fascination was discovery of
baroque paintings in Mideuropian churches.Later on I
persued
for many years contemporary art in order to
choose something for my pleasure.Instead of beauty I
usually found unsatisfying
works only:empty
themes,decorativity,struggling for primitive
shocking,from time to time overkidded with
ununderstandable
pseudo-philosophic theories.Even form
and creative process in general are for many decades
sterile tending to show academic
skills and perfect
surface to hide lack of phantasy and the sense of
sublime beauty.
Three years ago I gaved up.I
brought up from the
cellar my old brushes and decided to make my own stuff
again,after almost 20 years lasting break.I
want to
explore in colors,composition and render very
narrative stories.I want to be such painter as Dmitri
Shostakovich
was composer.
